GEORGE R. HARBIN JR.

Retired U.S. Navy BM1 George R. ``Bobby'' Harbin Jr., 44, passed away Saturday, May 10, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Belle Valley, Ohio, and retired from the U.S. Navy with 21 years of service with action in Grenada, Lebanon and Desert Shield (Gulf War). He was preceded in death by his father, George Harbin Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Harbin; a stepson, Clay Eddns of Ohio; mother, Frances Harbin of Knoxville; a sister, Sherry Harbin of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Harbin, David and Jennifer Harbin, all of Powell; nieces, Jennifer and Rebecca Harbin; and a nephew, Jonathan Harvin, all of Powell.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday with funeral services to follow at 8:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Merchants Drive. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Sherwood Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 197, Belle Valley, Ohio 43717. Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Knoxville, Tenn., is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
