MERCEDES T. PERKINS

Mercedes Tucker Perkins, 94, of the 800 block of Norview Ave. died May 13, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Woolridge, Tenn., she was the widow of George Dewey Perkins and had retired from the civil service.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty P. Pasco of Norfolk, L. Patricia McIntyre of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Richard L. Perkins and Tom T. Perkins, both of Tyler, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma M. Tucker of Bluefield, W.Va.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Monte Vista Cemetery, Bluefield. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. A visitation will also be at Mercer Funeral Home, Bluefield, from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity or to Parkinson's Disease Research Center, Washington, D.C., region office, 807 S. Alfred St., Alexandria, Va. 22314. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
