HERE'S AN ART SHOW you can sink your teeth into: ``Food for Thought'' opens tonight from 6 to 8 at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach.

On display (through July 6) will be chairs made of hardened salt (shown), a tower of caramel and a tattooed lemon.

Patrons also will be treated to a short modern dance performance called ``The Food Piece,'' choreographed by Beverly Duane and Todd Rosenlieb. At CACV, 2200 Parks Ave. 425-0000.

WHOLE LOTTA music goin' on this weekend, with the Town Point Jazz and Blues Festival, tonight through Sunday at Town Point Park in Norfolk. Headliners: John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers (7:30 tonight), Arturo Sandoval (7 p.m. Saturday), Larry Carlton (8:45 p.m. Saturday), Blind Boys of Alabama (2 and 3 p.m. Sunday), Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women (5:30 p.m. Sunday and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones (6:45 p.m. Sunday).
