MARJORIE H. CHAPMAN

Mrs. Marjorie Hill Chapman, 69, of the 8300 block of Crittenden Road, died May 14, 1997, in her residence.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Hill and Odell Thomas Hill. She was a retired teacher of the Crew Public School System and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Suffolk.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Samuel Lee Chapman; a son, Horace W. Chapman of Suffolk; a grandson, Manndom G. Ward; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lassiter of Suffolk; three brothers, Wesley Hill, Ernest Hill, Freddie Hill, all of Suffolk; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marie Hill and Mrs. Marjorie Hill.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia Baptist Church, Suffolk, by the Rev. Bernard Thomas. Burial will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery. The body will be in the church by 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
