A disc jockey for Norfolk radio station WROX-FM was fired after being charged by Accomack County officials Friday with two counts each of taking indecent liberties with a minor and indecent exposure.
Robert Crump, also known as ``Cooter,'' turned himself in to the Accomack County Sheriff's office Friday after warrants for his arrest were issued, Sheriff Robert Crockett said in a statement.
A second disc jockey, Mike Pollack, also was fired on Friday, said General Manager Jerry Del Core.
The firings, and the charges against Crump, stemmed from live broadcasts on May 8 at Four Corner Plaza in Onley and on Keller Fair Road in Keller, sheriff's officials said. They said Crump offered his audience prizes to take their clothes off.
When offered tickets to a No Doubt concert in Virginia Beach, two 15-year-old girls took their clothes off from the waist up, officials said.
After Crump turned himself in Friday, he was released on $10,000 bail, according to the sheriff's office.
Crump and Pollack could not be reached for comment Friday.
Earlier this month, the station also fired well-known Hampton Roads radio personality Henry ``The Bull'' Del Toro. KEYWORDS: SEX CRIME JUVENILE 96X
