Ellen Baker McCoy, formerly of Azalea Avenue, died May 14, 1997, in Richmond.
Most recently of the 1400 block of Wallace St., Richmond, she was a Portsmouth native and the widow of Robert McCoy. She was a former member of Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth, and most recently a member of 31st St. Baptist Church, Richmond.
Survivors include a devoted daughter, Lucy Peyton McCoy of Richmond; two nephews, James and George Tyler, both of Harrisburg, Pa.; several cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in 31st St. Baptist Church, Richmond, by the Rev. Darrel Rollins. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Richmond. Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge.
