Elmo Langston Sr. of the 500 block of Byron St. died May 15, 1997, at his home.
A native of Buckhorne, Va., he was a member of New Galilee Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
His love and memories will remain in the hearts of his devoted wife of 48 years, Helen Brown Langston; seven sons, Elmo Jr. (Dynamite), Larry, Robert, Tommy (Eugene), Herbert, Johnny, Kenny, all of Chesapeake; four daughters, Gladys Anglin of Long Beach, Calif., Betty Bussell, Armenta Langston, Helen Langston Roscoe, all of Chesapeake; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other surviving relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fernwood Farms Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Anderson Foreman Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 569 Byron St. for the procession. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
