Joe Allyn Harris, 59, a devoted and loving husband and father, died May 16, 1997 in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mr. Harris, a Baptist, was born in Belhaven, N.C. He was president and owner of Bay Products Inc. for 35 years and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Harris; his mother, Hattie Belle McKinney of Belhaven; and a sister, Randi Sue Slade of Belhaven. He was predeceased by his daughter, Beth Ann Harris.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Will Kiser-Lowrance. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
