Dallas Taylor Newsome, 71, of the 800 block of Gammon Road, died May 17, 1997, in Emporia.
Mr. Newsome was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a Baptist. He was a retired engineer with the Maritime Service District (NU)2.
Survivors include his wife, June Newsome; a daughter, Michelle Mannings of Arkansas; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be at noon Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
