GRACE B. WHITE

Grace Beeks White, 81, formerly of Summit Drive and E. Indian River Road, Chesapeake, died Saturday, May 17, 1997 at Grady Hipp Nursing Home, Greenville, after a period of declining health.

Born in Ware Shoals, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary Elizabeth Ballentine Beeks.

Mrs. White was associated with Old Dominion Freight Lines for 31 years before her retirement. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and a former member of Monticello Chapter American Business Women's Association.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. P.R. (Margaret) Tucker, Mrs. James F. (Kathleen) Howard, both of Greenville; nine nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Park by the Rev. Rod Clay.
