CORRECTIONS

Type was missing from the last paragraph of George Tucker's column Monday in the Hampton Roads section. The last paragraph should have said:

``During my research for this column, I was delighted to discover that Norfolk's first branch post office was established in Berkley in 1906 when the town where I first saw the light of day 3 years later was annexed by the city.''

The city of Virginia Beach and federal government are sharing - on a 35-65 percent basis - the $103 million cost of building the Hurricane Protection Project along the Oceanfront. When the project is finished, the city will have sole responsibility for maintaining the seawall, Boardwalk and drainage components for the next 50 years. The federal government will continue to share the cost of replenishing the Oceanfront beaches with sand. A story in Saturday's Hampton Roads section contained an error.

The Great Bridge Middle School Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Great Bridge High School, 301 W. Hanbury Road, Chesapeake. An item in Sunday's community news section The Clipper gave an incorrect location.

A restaurant review in Sunday's Flavor named Jimmy Babb as executive chef of the Red Maple Inn in Newport News. Babb is no longer chef at the Red Maple Inn, having resigned April 30.
