CRIME LINE

Hampton Roads police agencies are looking for information about these crimes...

Norfolk

On April 21, just before 11 p.m., a woman was attacked in her residence after she returned from church.

The man had broken into her apartment. He forced her at knifepoint into the bedroom and sexually assaulted her. He then robbed her before fleeing.

The victim was able to provide details that allowed police to produce a composite drawing of her assailant.

The suspect is described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 145 pounds. He wore a red flannel shirt, blue pants and white sneakers.

Investigators believe the same man may be responsible for two other attacks.

On April 17, about 2:30 p.m., police and paramedics found an employee dead in the Bay Seafood Market in the 1300 block of E. Princess Anne Road. The victim, Arturo Cerdenola, had been shot. He had lived in the 300 block of Ansell Ave. in Portsmouth and was to have been married later this year.

Police are seeking any information about who may have killed Cerdenola.

Virginia Beach

On April 29, about 9:45 p.m., two men robbed the Captain D's seafood restaurant in the 5600 block of Indian River Road.

After they entered the store, they produced handguns and demanded money from the employees. After they got the money, they fled toward an Exxon station.

The first suspect is described as black with a dark complexion, 25 to 28 years old and tall. He was wearing a black leather touring cap and a baggy blue sweatshirt with a white oval design in the center.

The second suspect is described as black, 170 pounds and tall. He had short black hair and a thin mustache and was wearing a black leather touring cap and a light-colored shirt with vertical stripes.

Portsmouth

On Jan. 14, two men robbed the Econo Used Tires store in the 3200 block of Elm Ave.

About 8 a.m., they forced their way into the business and a brief struggle ensued. It ended when one of the suspects pulled out a blue steel revolver. The employee was forced to open the cash register, and the two suspects fled with the cash.

The first suspect is described as black, 22, 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing an Army camouflage jacket, blue jeans and work boots.

The second suspect is described as black, 19, 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Chesapeake

On April 30 about 6:15 p.m. a man entered a department store at Greenbrier Mall, took several dresses from the women's department and casually walked out of the business. The merchandise is valued at more than $800.

The suspect is described as black, about 30, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had a light beard and was seen leaving in an early 1980s-model Ford Fairmont. It was silver and had four doors.

Hampton

Larry Taylor, 31, is wanted on charges of larceny, credit card fraud, check fraud and failing to appear in Hampton Circuit Court.

Taylor is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has been known to reside on 37th Street and on Newsome Drive in Newport News.

Aaron G. Harrell, 28, is wanted on charges of probation and parole violation.

Harrell is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and possibly a mustache and goatee. ILLUSTRATION: Drawing
