Grace Claire Hoelzel, 79, died Monday, May 19, 1997.
Mrs. Hoelzel was a native of Pensacola, Fla., and resided in Portsmouth for 50 years before moving to Jacksonville in 1994. She was a 30-year volunteer with the ladies auxiliary at Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Omar F. Hoelzel; two daughters, Patty C. Hoelzel and Mary Evelyn Bartley (Phillip); son, Phillip J. Hoelzel (Evelyn); brother, James Golay; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and two step-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery with Father Edward K. Rooney officiating. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. in George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home, Jacksonville. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
