Charles Michael Burns, 2, of the 1200 block of Pipers Crescent died May 19, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in Portsmouth, he was the son of Charles Samuel Burns and Kelley Ann Carr Burns, who survive.
Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Michael and Edith Carr of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Jesse Burns of Virginia Beach; maternal great-grandparents, Helen and Leon Russell of Camillus, N.Y.; maternal great-grandmother, Geraldine Carr of Camillus; three aunts, Christine Carr and Angel Ramos, both of Virginia Beach, and Karen Lynch of Norfolk; uncle, Terry Walls of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Minister Gerald Showalter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, P.O.
