A dozen carrier-based F-14 Tomcat fighters and four E-2C Hawkeye radar planes are scheduled to return today in advance of the returning Theodore Roosevelt battle group.
The ``Swordsmen'' of Fighter Squadron 32 are expected to land at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach about 1:30 p.m., and the ``Sea Hawks'' of Carrier Early Airborne Warning Squadron 126 are due at Norfolk Naval Air Station about 9:30 a.m.
They are the only aircraft from the ``TR's'' Air Wing 3 that are based in Hampton Roads. The others, consisting of S-3 Vikings, Navy and Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets, EA-6B Prowlers H-60 Sea Hawk helicopters, will return to bases in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Washington.
