THOMAS A. HOWELL JR.

Thomas A. Howell Jr., 62, died May 20, 1997, in his residence.

He was a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant commander with 23 years service and also employed with AMSEC as a systems analyst. He was a native of Marion, Ala., and a member of Sandbridge Community Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Howell; two sons, Michael Thomas Howell of Virginia Beach, David Alexander Howell and his wife, Christine Renee Howell of Virginia Beach; a brother, Eugene Adair Howell of California; two grandchildren, Jordan Adair Howell of Nellysford, Va., and David Alexander Howell Jr. of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in Sandbridge Community Chapel by the Rev. Stephen Hay. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Sandbridge Community Chapel. The family will be at the residence following the memorial service.
