BESSIE J. GORDON

Bessie Jones Gordon of the 700 block of St. Paul Blvd. died May 21, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Princess Anne County, she was a member of Greater Works Deliverance Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Annie Pettiway, Joyce Gordon and Catherine Gordon, all of Norfolk; three sons, Edward F. Fuller of Virginia Beach, Horace Gordon of Chesapeake and Vernon Gordon of Norfolk; two sisters, Nancy Simmons of Virginia Beach and Essie Cherry of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Works Deliverance Church by Pastor Rue E. Porter. Burial will be in Betty Jones Cemetery. The family and friends will assemble at 2584 Ruffin Way at noon Saturday for the procession to the funeral. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
