TOMMY KEE SR.

Charlie Thomas ``Tommy'' Kee Sr., 67, of the 33000 block of Branch Bridge Road, died May 23, 1997.

Mr. Kee was born in Northampton County, N.C., the son of the late Charlie Hendrix and Lema Davis Kee. He was an Army veteran and a retired mechanic from Branchville Machinery Co. He was a charter member of the Branchville Ruritan Club and an honorary member of Branchville Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a member of the Meherrin Valley Hunt Club in Boykins, the American Legion Post, Boykins and the Galatia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Shirley Lee Kee; three sons, Charlie Thomas Kee Jr. and his wife, Evelyn of Branchville, Gerald Wade Kee and his wife, Lisa of Franklin and Joseph Alan Kee and his wife, Laura of Boykins; five sisters, Dorothy K. Hedspeth of Jackson, N.C., Sarah K. Long of Seaboard, N.C., Virginia K. Peeden of Henderson, N.C., Katherine K. Kirkland of Pendleton, N.C., and Ella Jean Overby of Branchville; and five grandchildren, Chrystal Gayle Kee, Jennifer Lynn Kee, Whitney Davis Kee, Tyler Wade Kee and Brandon Alan Kee. Mr. Kee was predeceased by a sister, Alease K. Edwards.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. David Foster. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o June Duck, 100 Fairview Drive, Franklin, Va. 23581 or Galatia Baptist Church, Route 1, Box 89, Seaboard, N.C. 27876.
