MARY K. FAULKNER

Mary McConnell Kist Faulkner of East Bayview Boulevard died May 23, 1997, in a local hospital.

A teacher for Granby Elementary School, Mrs. Faulkner retired after 21 years' service. She was a native of Linwood, N.J., and the widow of Robert B. Faulkner, a retired engineer and professor of engineering at Old Dominion University. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, the ``Tidewater Joey's'' and Circle ``K'' of ODU and was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and ``Meals on Wheels'' program.

Survivors include her grandnieces, Mary E. Boggs of St. Albans, W.Va., Barbara Keen of King of Prussia, Pa.; great-grandnieces and nephews, Rhonda Bowen of Virginia Beach, Ruth Waugh of Nitro, W.Va., and Randall Riley of Virginia Beach and Chris Keen and Sue Slovinski of Philadelphia; great-great-nieces and nephews, Jessica and Jonette Oberst of Virginia Beach, Kyra and Collen Waugh of Nitro; and a host of other special friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. William E. Amon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
