Earl Hunter Collins Sr., 77, of the 4300 block of Dukes Lane, the son of the late Euna Baker and Joseph Millard Collins, died May 24, 1997, in his home.
He was predeceased by a son, Joseph Michael Collins.
A native of Drum Hill, N.C., he was a retired farmer and a member of Somerton United Methodist Church. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Kee Collins; a daughter, Mary Kathryn Adkins of Lynchburg; a son, Earl Hunter Collins Jr. of Smithfield; a brother, Joseph Edmund Collins of Suffolk; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Larry Renfrow, with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Somerton United Methodist Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
