MARY H. TILLERY

Mary Helen Tillery, 76, formerly of Covel St., died Monday, May 26, 1997, in Riverpointe Rehabilitation Center.

She was a native of Washington, N.C., and a retiree from Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ Disciples and was very active in the Salvation Army. She was a licensed beautician and cosmetologist. She made several friends during her years as a beautician and at several shops along Church Street in Norfolk.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Carolyn Tillery-Hayes; sister, Olivia King; three brothers, William Graddy, Kelly Graddy and Samuel Graddy; granddaughter, Toya L. Hayes; son-in-law, Johnny E. Hayes; and an aunt, Arguster White.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Bethlehem Church of Christ Disciples, Marietta Ave., Norfolk, by Bishop L. Lee Gordon Sr. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
