Sarah Southall Vinson of Virginia Beach died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at the age of 85.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara S. Shields; a stepdaughter, Verdell T. Nottingham, and grandson, Alvin R. Shields; a grandson, Alvin R. Shields; three brothers, Phillip Southall of Portsmouth, Mack Southall of Suffolk, John L. Southall of Maryland; four sisters, Nellie Moye of Norfolk, Thelma Elliot and Willetta Outland of Portsmouth, Aliene Johnson of Baltimore, Md.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Graves Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with the Rev. C.N. White. Burial was held Friday at Betty Jones Cemetery, Virginia Beach. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
