Mrs. Anna Sacks Goodrich, 81, a lifelong resident of Waverly, died June 1, 1997, in her home.
Mrs. Goodrich was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Julia Meinzinger Sacks. She was a member of the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, Wakefield, and retired from Pope's Supermarket, Waverly. She was the widow of Marvin Lewis Goodrich.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie G. Childrey of Prince George; a son, Donald J. Staffieri of Pennsville, N.J.; two sisters, Marilyn Thornton of Wakefield, Elizabeth Francis of Waldorf, Md.; two grandchildren, Kevin Childrey, Diana Staffieri; and a great-grandchild.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, Wakefield, at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Father Carl DeSouza. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
