RICHARD B. SMITH

Richard Burd Smith, 68, of the 4300 block of East Road, died June 2, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Lebanon, Pa., he had retired from the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes H. Smith; two daughters, Roberta S. Warren and JoAnn S. Druyos, both of Chesapeake; two sons, Richard L. Smith of Chesapeake and Ronald R. Smith of Zuni, Va.; two sisters, Barbara Goode of Denver, Pa., and Erline Carter of Pennsylvania; a brother, Emerson C. Smith of Reading, Pa.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery with military honors. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
