ISABELL T. CLAUD

Isabell Turner Claud, 101, departed this life on May 31, 1997, in the Avis B. Adams Convalescent Center, Emporia.

A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Blanche Jones Turner. She was the widow of the late Deacon Richard W. ``Cooney'' Claud. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Boykins, where she served as church clerk for 22 years, member of the deaconess board and also served as mother of the church.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Peter Robert Jr., Linda and Timothy; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Shiloh Baptist Church, Boykins, with the Rev. Anthony Ferebee, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Family members and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pearson-Bond Funeral Service is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
