An item in Friday's Hampton Roads Milestones transposed the descriptions of two Chesapeake firefighters who died fighting a blaze in March 1996. Frank E. Young, 38, was a 15-year veteran firefighter, and John R. Hudgins Jr., 32, a 10-year veteran. The two are being honored for their service to the city.
Jerome Elam, a teacher at P.D. Pruden Vo-Tech Center in Suffolk, was misidentified in a photo caption in Friday's Hampton Roads section.
A program presenting Mary Fraser Wunnenberg as Emily Dickinson will be at 1:30 p.m. today and 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach. An item in Sunday's Beacon community news section had incorrect information.
On Thursday's Military page, the identifications of two Air Force financial specialists were transposed. Master Sgt. Richard Dale was on the left and Staff Sgt. Ed Harvey on the right.
