Mary H. Gorman, 88, of the 100 block of Conference Court, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Gorman was born in Waterbury, Conn., and was the daughter of the late Thomas Francis O'Donnell Sr. and Catherine I. Phelan O'Donnell. She was the widow of Edmund W. Gorman Sr.
Survivors include a son, Edmund William Gorman Jr. of Seminole, Fla.; her two daughters, Maureen Ianucci of Virginia Beach, Carol I. Duhamel of Vernon, Conn.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Church of the Ascension from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today with a Christian wake service being conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jim Parke. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
The body will be sent to the Murphy Funeral Home, Waterbury, where a visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Tom Ianucci, Mrs. Gorman's grandson. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown, Conn.
