LLOYD HERSHBERGER

Lloyd Hershberger, 94, of the 3300 block of Hershridge Road, died May 31, 1997, in Norfolk.

Born in Luray, Va., he was a retired sales representative for Tomlinson Co. He was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, past master of South Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)339 AF&AM and member of the American Cancer Society. He founded the Lost Chord Club in 1962 and was a member of the Daughters of America, Great Bridge Chapter. He was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society where he gave speeches for 30 years. He was the widower of Margaret E. Hershberger.

Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Edwards of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Wilchester Hershberger of Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Lloyd Hershberger Jr.; two grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Rupert Wallace and the Rev. Dr. C. Marcus Engdahl. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
