MARIE DUDLEY

Marie ``Jeanne'' Dudley died Tuesday, June 3, 1997 at her home.

Mrs. Dudley was born in Boston, Mass. on Dec. 5, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Phillip Graham Murphy and Marie Kathryn May. She was a product of the Boston School System and later attended Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She married in 1952 and resided with her husband and children in St. Mary's County, Maryland, most of her adult life. In 1992, she and her husband moved to Virginia Beach.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Sorrell Dudley Jr.; her three sons, Robert Phillip Dudley of Chesapeake, Stephen Michael Dudley of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Robert Sorrell Dudley III of Chesapeake; her grandchildren, Christina Marie Dudley, Robert Phillip Dudley Jr., Melissa Anne Dudley, Breanna Michelle Dudley of Waldorf, Md., Alexandra Faye Dudley of Beavercreek, Ohio, Robert Sorrell Dudley IV and Eric Matthew Dudley of Chesapeake. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis M. Goodens, and brother, Arthur T. Murphy of Milton, Mass., sister Lorraine Connelly of Medford, Mass., and brother Paul J. Murphy of Reedsport, Oregon.

A Christian Wake Service will be conducted 7 p.m. today at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Following the service, the family will receive friends until 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 1997, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Father James E. Dorson. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's White Chapel Cemetery in Lively, Va. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
