Julia Belle Curfman, 96, died June 2, 1997, in a local nursing home.
A retired floral designer for Albright Florist, she was a Capeville, Va., native and a member of Zion Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of Westminster Chapter No. 99, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Lillian C. Marable of Virginia Beach and Frances C. Winston of Gaithersburg, Md.; son, John L. Curfman of San Jose, Calif.; stepbrother, Felix E. Stephens Sr. of Chesapeake; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Fenton Wicker with Eastern Star rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Music Program of Community United Methodist Church, 1072 Old Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
