Benjamin Franklin Ferrell, 77, died June 4, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mr. Ferrell was a supervisor for Coca-Cola. He was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Churchland Masonic Lodge No.276, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple, Portsmouth and Suffolk Shrine Club, Royal Arch Chapter No. 36, Local Order of the Moose Lodge No. 39, V.F.W. Post No. 9382, Nansemond and Harbor Point Cotillion Club, AARP and NRA. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kimler Ferrell; stepdaughter; two stepsons; sister, Ethel Philyaw and her husband, James; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Loving Funeral Home Chapel, Churchland. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Ferrell Family Cemetery, Lucama, N.C. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
