FANNIE M. MATTESON

Fannie M. Matteson, 97, of Sentara Village died June 4, 1997.

A retired secretary for Texas Oil Co., she was a native of South Norfolk and the widow of James F. Matteson. She was a member of United Methodist Women's Society.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Grace Crandall, and her husband, Stewart, of Laurens, N.Y.; two nephews, William C. Boggs Jr. of Chesapeake and Elliott Harris Jr. of Boynton, Fla.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Robert A. Edwards. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
