HISTORY COMES TO LIFE

At a Colonial Fair held recently at Olive Branch Elementary School,

Ron Phelps of Chesapeake, top, explains the frontier lifestyle to

students. At right, Ashlee Pollizzi, 10, left, and Sarah McKee, 9,

right, alternate dipping candle wicks into hot wax, then water, as

they learn how to make candles. Below, Mary McKee, dressed in

clothing from the Colonial era, demonstrates how to make small

quilted pillows.
