Rebecca L. Wilson of the 1600 block of Rhodes St. died June 3, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Born in Norfolk County, she was the widow of Johnnie E. Wilson and a member of Providence United Church of Christ, Westmunden, Chesapeake, as a deaconess and member of the usher board.
Survivors include a son, Garland J. Wilson Sr. of Chesapeake; three sisters, Agenora L. Davis of Virginia Beach, Margaret McCoy of Portsmouth and Bernice Stilley of Chesapeake; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Providence United Church of Christ, Westmunden, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Alexander Jamison. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
