WILLIAM A. HARDISON

William Alfred ``Bally'' Hardison, 65, of the 2200 block of Vermont Ave., departed this life Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at his residence.

He was a native of Jamesville, N.C. He was the son of the late Matthew Spruill. Mr. Hardison was a member of St. Paul R.Z.U.A. He had retired from the Chesapeake Chemical Co. as an operator.

He is survived by his wife, Arnecia S. Hardison of Suffolk; three daughters, Maxine Jordan and Marion Sherrod, both of Suffolk, and Geraldine Elliott of Norfolk; two sons, William C. Hardison and Clinton R. Hardison, both of Portsmouth; his mother and stepfather, Beatrice and Ardavis Roberson of Norfolk; his stepmother, Catherine Spruill of Suffolk; two sisters, Shirley Boone of Norfolk and Margie White of Suffolk; two uncles, John A. Wooten of Washington, N.C., and Railey Brown of Jamesville, N.C.; a goddaughter, Marilyn Skeeter of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. today. The remains will be taken to the church at noon Saturday. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul R.Z.U.A., Suffolk. Dr. Edward P.
