BETTY R. ALLDRED

Betty R. ``Rubell'' Alldred, 78, of the 1300 block of Portlock Road, died June 5, 1997, in a local hospital.

A retired spinner for Fieldcrest Mills, she was a Pitt County, N.C., native, and the widow of John W. Alldred Sr. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy F. Ostrowski and her husband, Gene, of Chesapeake; sister, Janice Brown of Merrillville, Ind.; four brothers, Lawrence F. Anderson and Robert W. Anderson, Eddy L. Anderson, all of Chesapeake and David W. Anderson of Florida; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a son, Johnny W. Alldred, and a daughter, Doris G. Kosse.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Pastor Al Day. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and also at 4138 Third St., Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
