Fernando I. Artaud-Vega, 78, of the 400 block of Warner Circle, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Artaud-Vega was born in Guantanamo, Cuba, and was the son of the late Luis Artaud and Margarita Vega Artaud. He was a member of Apostolado Cristo Rey Church and held the office of treasurer in the Club Hispano Americano of Tidewater. He was accounting manager for Material Handling Supply, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Adela S. Artaud; his daughter and son-in-law, Adela and Larry Zoeller of Chesapeake; his son and daughter-in-law, Fernando L. and Myrna Artaud of San Francisco, Calif.; his sister, Isabel Mola of Miami; and four grandchildren, Lisa Zoeller, Larry Zoeller Jr., Danielle Artaud and Darren Artaud.
The funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gregory's Catholic Church by Fr. Robert Gloisten. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. A reception will follow the cemetery services at the church. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements. A Christian wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the Norview Chapel of Smith & Williams Funeral Home, where the family will also receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
