James Spain of the 1500 block of Dungee St. died June 6, 1997, in his residence.
A warehouseman retired from Tait Seed Store, he was a Washington, N.C., native. He is survived by two sisters, Nana Spain of Virginia Beach and Ella Buck of Virginia Beach; brother, Thomas Spain of Washington; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Harry Poole. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
