Garrett Richard Corlett Jr., 35, died June 7, 1997.
The son of Marilyn Butler and the late Garrett Richard Corlett Sr., he was preceded in death by an older brother, Harold D. Corlett of Vermont.
Gary also worked as a professional carpet installer in the area for 15 years and is survived by a son, Garrett Wallace; brother, Michael Corlett; two sisters, April Tennien and Laurie Davis; grandmother, Mary McCroary; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be held at Virginia Wesleyan College's Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
