GROVER K. LILES

Grover K. Liles, 79, of the 100 block of Cromwell Parkway died June 8, 1997.

A native of Chesterfield, S.C., he served in the Army.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Liles; daughters, Edna Hankins, Roberta Liles, Lucille Lyles, Lilliemae Liles; stepdaughter, Nella Harris of East Orange, N.J.; four sons, Paul Liles of Hartsville, S.C., Cecil Liles of Norfolk, Terry Liles, Bernard Liles, both of Norfolk; stepson, Robert Gainey of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Frank Liles, Edward Liles, both of Norfolk; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; stepson-in-law, Mr. Harris of East Orange, N.J.; stepdaughter-in-law, Brenda Gainey of Pennsylvania; stepgranddaughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey of East Orange; daughter-in-law, Goldie Liles of Hartsville, S.C.; four sons-in-law, Sylvester Hankins, Kenneth Hankins, William Gray, Issiah McCollum; two sisters-in-law, Burnette Liles and hattie Liles; and a host of other relatives and friends; a very special niece, Jenny Mae Sills.

He was preceded in death by a son, Woodroe Gainey; a brother, Julius Lyles.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 114 Cromwell Parkway, Norfolk, Saturday at 10 a.m. for the procession. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
