Eboni M. ``Ebbie'' Johnson, 13, of the 2200 block of Peach St., died June 9, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk.

Born in Portsmouth, she was a seventh-grader at Hunt-Mapp Middle School, Portsmouth, and was a 1997 inductee in the National Junior Honor Society.

Survivors include his mother, Daphlyn ``Dee Dee Johnson'' White and father, Gabriel Small Jr., both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Candace Small and Crystal Small, both of Portsmouth; two brothers, Jawanza Johnson and Terrell Small, both of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth M. Johnson; paternal grandmother, Mary L. Carter, both of Portsmouth; paternal grandfather, Gabriel Small Sr. of Baltimore, Md.; and paternal great-grandmother, Adell Lester of Henderson, N.C.; five aunts and six uncles and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Charles L. Harvin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.
