MARY B. LAINE

Mary Maddox Beale Laine of Cape Henry Towers, 3200 block of Page Ave., died June 10, 1997, in her residence.

Mrs. Laine grew up in Franklin and was the daughter of the late Wesley Hodges and Ethelyn Scott Beale. She attended Mary Washington College and Virginia Commonwealth University. For many years, she made her home in Virginia Beach, where she was instrumental in the development of condominium management.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Scott Laine of New York City; two sons, Elliott Randolph Laine of Carlsbad, Calif. and Wesley Beale Laine and his wife, Sara, of Virginia Beach; and a granddaughter, Michelle Laine of Carlsbad.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Little Creek Chapel, 1160 D St., Virginia Beach. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
