Richard ``Dick'' Joseph Dodd, 84, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, in his residence.
Mr. Dodd was born in Jersey City, N.J., and was a retired welder, a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a disabled veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was the son of the late William and Anne Haugh Dodd and the husband of Elizabeth Parowski Dodd of Corolla.
Besides his wife, Mr. Dodd is survived by two daughters, Mary C. DiDario of Currituck and Elizabeth Ann Brinkofski of Somerset, N.J.; two sons, William Paul Dodd of Corolla and Richard William Dodd of Edison, N.J.; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted Wednesday in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in New Jersey at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends today in Corolla Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday at Parow Funeral Home in North Arlington, N.J., from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, N.J.
