WILLIAM H. DAUGHTREY

William Hayes Daughtrey, 67, of the 2700 Block of Cattayle Run, died Friday, June 13, 1997, in a local hospital after a brief illness. Daughtrey and Christine Mason Daughtrey. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and friend to many. He loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He did his very best.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Fenton C. Daughtrey; two daughters, Brenda New and her husband, Jim New, and Nina Austin; three lovely grandchildren, Robert Austin, Becky New and Kristina Austin, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mable Bowe of Floyd Knobs, Ind.; four brothers, Robert Daughtrey of New Albany, Ind., Frank Daughtrey of Shelbyville, Ind., James L. Daughtrey of Chesapeake and Gerald W. Daughtrey of Freemont, Neb.; several nieces and nephews; and a dear and loyal friend, F. Wayne McLeskey.

A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Dick Dinges.

Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
