DAVID G. HAMELOTH

David Gordan Hameloth, of the 2800 block of Omar St., died June 15, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Born July 2, 1951, in Grand Island, Neb., he was a mailroom clerk for CBN and a member of Kempsville Presbyterian Church. He taught the Children Church, Sunday School and was a former worship leader, youth pastor, and chaperone for mission trips with Rock Church. He also drove the bus for rollerskating and was a Children Church volunteer with Teen Challenge.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Jean Hameloth; a daughter, Deborah Joyce Hameloth of Chesapeake; a son, Michael David Hameloth of Chesapeake; father, Gordon Harry Hameloth of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Judy Wayner of Indiana, Sally Lust of Reading, Pa., Jane Hameloth of Kempton, Pa.; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Jane Walters.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Kempsville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jim Dowell and Bishop John Gimenez. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Hampton. The family will receive friends at Kempsville Presbyterian Church from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at the residence for the procession. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
