CLAUDE F. TUTTLE

Claude Franklin Tuttle, 83, died Monday, June 16, 1997.

Mr. Tuttle, a native of Portsmouth, was the widower of Gilliard McGuire Tuttle. He was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a ordnance supplyman with 31 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Virginia Wiseman; a brother, John V. Tuttle; and a granddaughter, Betty Jean Reynolds, all of Portsmouth; a great-granddaughter, Katelyn McGuire Reynolds; a great-grandson, Kenneth Shawn Reynolds; two nieces and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Evan A. Smith. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the granddaughter's home, 4223 Winchester Drive. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
