Christopher L. Hudgins, 61, of the 1200 block of Three Bridges Road, Powdersville Community, died Friday, June 13, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Hudgins was born in Norfolk, the son of the late Emmett Land and Sara Rawles Hudgins. He was a 1959 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and served during the Vietnam Era as a carrier-based naval aviator. He retired in 1993 from General Electric in Greenville, S.C. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Greenville, S.C.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Lamm Hudgins of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Beth) Anderson of Grandy, N.C., Christine Tillett of Norfolk; two stepsons, Larry Cole of Rosville, Ga., and Stanley Cole of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. John Monroe (Virginia) Smith of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Jim C. (Sara) Delesle of Balm, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted at 4 p.m. June 15 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Easley, by the Rev. Marshall Williams. Burial was in the Veterans Garden of Honor, Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
