MABLE L. FRANCIS

Mable Lee Francis, 79, of the 300 block of Washington st., died June 14, 1997, in Obici Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Nansemond County, Va., and a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Franklin, its senior choir and hospitality committee. She was a retired laborer of Birdsong Peanut Factory after 30 years of service.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Norine Francis Staton; four sons, Norris Francis, Willie Francis, Ervin Francis and Earnest Francis; a brother, John Henry Liverman; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; four daughters-in-law, Patricia J. Francis, Patricia R. Francis, Carol C. Francis and Patricia F. Francis. She was predeceased by her parents, Minnie and Leavy Liverman.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Franklin, by the Rev. Stephan Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
