Walter L. Thomas of the 2700 block of McKann Ave. died June 15, 1997, in his residence.
Born in Louisburg, N.C., he retired from Super Fresh after 24 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, Norfolk.
Survivors include his mother, Bertha Turner; three sisters, Barbara Holloway, Patricia Hazel, both of Norfolk, Elviria Tillery of Norfolk, Ruth Wilson of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Carl Thomas of Richmond and Jack Thomas of Newport News. Mr. Thomas also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Baptist Lamberts Point, Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
