JOHN WILSON JR.

John ``Little Johnnie'' Wilson Jr. of the 4100 block of Williamson St. departed this life Sunday, June 22, 1997, in a local hospital.

He was born to John Wilson Sr. and the late Gertie Wilson Jan. 10, 1959, in Chesapeake. Mr. Wilson, along with his father, owned and operated Wilson's Construction Co. for more than 15 years. He was an associate minister and a member of Cathedral of Faith C.O.G.I.C., Chesapeake. He was also a graduate of Indian River High School, Chesapeake, and attended Norfolk State University.

Survivors include his devoted father, John Wesley Wilson Sr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ruth Boyd of Chesapeake and Elaine Lewis of Richmond, Va.; aunt, Daisy Griffin of Chesapeake; two uncles, Lee Brown, Robert Brown, both of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Cathedral of Faith C.O.G.I.C., 2020 Portlock Road, Chesapeake, by Dr. G. Wesley Hardy. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church Friday at 11 a.m. Family and friends will be at 4138 Williamson St., Chesapeake, Friday at noon for a funeral procession to the church and at other times in the residence.
